*** Penal Code section 1299 was repealed 1/1/10

The California Penal Code section 1299 requires a person that performs California fugitive recovery in California to be in compliance with the following:

            Qualifications:

                        1. Must be 18 years of agE

                        2. Must have NO Felony convictions.

                        3. Comply with the training requirements of PC 1299.

                       

            Training Requirements:

                        1. complete a minimum of 12 hours of bail education by

                            a ca department of insurance certified trainer. ***

                        2. Complete a 40-hour Powers to Arrest Course certified    

                            by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and        

                            Training.

                        3. Complete approximately 8 hours of a Powers to

                            Arrest course by a Consumer Affairs - Bureau of            

                            Security & Investigative Services Certified trainer.

CA BAIL AGENTS: Licensed after January 1, 2000 must be in compliance with above.

*** This course exceeds state requirements for Training Requirement #1 and is taught by knowledgeable instructors who are currently working and succeeding in the field of study.  The instructors impact the class with cutting edge instruction giving the student real world examples and on point discussion of actual events.  There is no other California Department of Insurance approved course of this caliber.  The students leave the class with the knowledge and skills to venture into the exciting world of the bail Industry.
